Pirates and Hot dogs and Sponges- Oh My! is a Web-Log about the daily comings and goings of our apartment. It's about the things everyone else overlooks- the things they're afraid to tell you about. In short, it is real life. In your face!

calling all hotdogs and pirates...

Hello all, sorry I have been mia lately...but now i'm back and ready for action!

First of all, can anyone tell me why I'm watching Clash of the Choirs? Well, I know the answer to that...it's because Michael Bolton is sexy. GO TEAM BOLTON!

Secondly, yesterday and today I could not stop yawning. You know how they say yawns are infectious? I was infecting myself. I was avering 4 yawns/6.3 min. And I have cotton mouth.

Thirdly, on a brighter note, I have been talking to C-unit, although she is all the way in the motherland, so that has been making my days better.

Tomorrow I'm off to California for the holidays, so if I don't talk to everyone, have a merry christmas and a happy new year!!!

The Hotdog Genesis (My Family Tree)

In the beginning, there was HotGod. HotGod created Holy Father Hotdog and it was good. Holy Father Hotdog begat Baby Hotdog. Baby Hotdog begat Stephanie the Blogger. And it was good. Stephanie the Blogger was created in the web-log image of HotGod.

The perfect Christmas gift

So I wish that I had found this myself, but Brad actually found it while perusing through the AAFES catalog (the company that runs the PX on base). In fairness, the PX does have a lot of good stuff, but this one I'm not quite so sure about.

Feel the love

We just got back from Houston today, where I witnessed my nephew Jackson's love affair with his cat. He likes to give it lots of hugs, which resembles a wrestler pinning his opponent to a mat. This would be better in video form because he also repeats "Cat" and "Hug" while he's doing this. Namrata, did you ever do this with KittyBunny or did you move right into trapping her between the screen door?

In search of his bucket

The walrus wants his bucket back. If that means fighting for it, he will. If that means working for it, he will. Help the walrus.

Today I woke up at 3:30am.

I was in the car today starting at 4am and ending at 6pm.

I got hit on by a 40 yr old man who was 4"11 in East Hartford, CT.

Today was bad day (except for the old short man).

Kids always seem to brighten the day. Here are some videos of my nieces from this afternoon. They aren't nearly as exciting as Cop Rocker but they are pretty damn cute.

Aadya singing her own lyrics to Doe a Deer:

Merry Christmas from Adithi and Aadya

Doe a Jingle:

Brrrr... It's Cold in Here

I heard it was snowing in the northeast today, where many of our readers/contributors hail from. In honor of the snow, I give you this footage from the antarctic.

For the video versions, click on the pictures.

Forgotten TV Gem

What goes better than police drama and musical numbers, I ask? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I give you "Cop Rock."

But wait, it's not just the cops that sing. The criminals also are musically inclined. Watch how the show takes a look at the harsh world of the baby black market.

Important Thoughts to Ponder...

Who Can Resist The Hoff?

My Sunrise

This is what I wake up to every morning.

I hope this picture brightens everyones day. It is what gets me out of bed every morning...

More Updates

Today I have heartburn. And cotton mouth. I am enjoying neither.

The wall of my apartment is crumbling. What are the chances that I could get the Hoff to stand on the wall and help break it down?

Oh my! indeed

Sea Legs here,

I found some more pictures on my lap top that I thought all hot dog-eating pirates would want to know about.
Shipping Tube Namrata

I don't actually know what's happening here.

are you there hotgod?

Are you there Hotgod? Its me, C-unit. I just spent 20 minutes making my own avatar for my profile picture. What is happening to my life? In case you are interested - http://illustmaker.abi-station.com/index_en.shtml.

Let's Not Lose Sight of our Purpose

Got the mail today. I like getting magazines.

Read the web log. Was disappointed. Once upon a time there was a web log that was full of the daily comings and goings. It was dream like in its perfection. Maybe a spin off web log is in order for one particular contributor.

I have three pictures on my desk. They are:

1) My family at graduation
2) Al's nephew's birth announcement
3) Namrata in a cardboard box with only her head sticking out

Good night to all

More

Okay, Pavan's postings are too much to follow. I wish they would stick to one language (at least one per blogging entry). Also that they would make sense ;) Especially since the rest of this web log is so serious.

Also yes, I've changed my display name. I thought I needed more anonymity and also more street credit (hence the gangsta-ness). These are the things I think about in the land of the dead deer. Today I only saw one half-corpse so that was pretty good. Then I spent the rest of the night shopping online with pita-neni

As promised here are the rest of the pics. There were just a few more pics to add (I can't find a lot of them anymore).

The Happy Couple:

No words again:
Boy love:

Dancing Nancies

The Painter in Utero

Pavan Sekhar

Really? That's the best name you could come up with? I really don't have the gusto to ask for a warm welcome for someone who's so clearly not in tune with what this web log is all about.

(Edit: It should be noted that the original name of the poster was "Pavan Sekhar")

HotGod

HotGod is watching you.

New Contributor

So...I'm also quite nervous as a new contributor to this blog. Like the blog, I can hardly stand up. But I found a video that I believe represents how I feel at this moment.

Another first post

I agree, there is a lot to live up to here. Walrus postings, puppets, something about al being dirty...how can i compete?

I guess I'd like to say first that I am relieved that I am no longer the only "hacker" among us that has a blog. In your face Sachin and my family. This blog is everything I could have dreamed of and more. Its truly a christmas miracle.

So, I really think the best way for my first post to start and end is with a a little montage of pictures from over the years. We've been this amazing starting in 2000 (at least amazing in the group sense). I'll start off mild since Lisa doesn't want me to wait to post this and this blog is far too aroused...

Peacock Brad:
Sangeetha in a Crate:Athletes:
Bear Attack!
Lisa's modeling days:
Namrata and her first sweaty fob orgy (steph's jealous can't you tell?)
I don't even know how to caption this one:
Lisa and Steph looking amazing The infamous fat brad. I think he might kill me for posting this.

More to come later...

The blog is growing so large it can't stand up

We have another contributor coming soon. I'm sure she'll live up to the holy hotdog grail of awesomeness we have going on here. Welcome her kindly.

My first post

I'm feeling the pressure of my first post. Can I live up to the others?

I woke up today wishing I was a puppet. Can HotGod give me some pointers?

Also, I am currently going through my second puberty. It sucks. But Phillips Norelco can help it suck less. Inquire for more details.

New Additions

To all our faithful readers:

There are two new contributers to our blog. Be on the look out for breaking news from them.

My nose has been itchy all day. I don't know the cure for that. More to follow.

Sorry we missed yesterday

This is a typical day:

Step one: check blog
Step two: dance with puppets
Step three: Be a puppet

Watching a fire tiger. grrrrr. Going to make coffee soon. Al and Pavan got wood. May make fire in near future.

Electronics have dna? Note to self: ask Sony about that.

Maybe the Patriots will be 16-0. Will check back in later.
If every word I said
Could make you laugh
I'd talk forever
I asked the sky just what we had
It showed forever
(together my love)
If the song I sing to you
Could fill your heart with joy
I'd sing forever
(together my love)

Forever, forever
I've been so happy loving you

(together my love)
Let the love I have for you live in your heart
And be forever
(together my love)

Forever, forever
I've been so happy loving you

If every word I said could make you laugh
I'd talk forever

Forever, forever
I've been so happy loving you

Day One

Today Al watched King of Queens, sang Enrique Iglesias (off key) and grew paranoid about people finding him on the internet.

Namrata put her whole hand in her mouth- just like babies! Maybe she is a baby.

We might eat spaghetti and homemade meatballs for dinner- will update later.

Namrata has an astigmatism so tomorrow she will go to the dmv and try to get a handicap plate for her car. She also looked for a Bust Buy online.

Al is the dirty police.

Lisa corrected Al.

Stay tuned for more breaking news
